As a user or member of a group, you have the ability to unsubscribe from receiving emails. They may pertain to you as a user if you may want to join a group without getting all the group's emails at some point. Listed below is how you can navigate to turn the function off.
Click on the Groups icon
Click on the group of your choice
Select Dashboard then Group Page (This step is for Group Officers only)
Click on My Membership
Check the box next to I want to stop receiving emails from this group
