Event Types allow administrators to categorize events and help students find the events they are interested in. Only administrators can create or edit event types.

  • Log in to CampusGroups

  • Click on Admin

  • Click on Settings then Custom Values (lookup)

  • Scroll down and click on Create Event Type

  • Complete the form

  • Click Save

The newly created event type will show up in the Event Type section.

  • Click Edit next to the type's name to edit it

  • Click Save

Similar to Event Types, Event Tags are used for categorization and searching purposes for both students and Administrators. However, an event can hold multiple tags. Additionally, each tag can be set to be accessible to Admins only or not.

  • Click on Admin

  • Click on Settings then Tags

  • Scroll down and click on Create Event Tag

  • Complete the form

  • Click Save

  • To edit existing tags, click the Edit pencil next to the tag's name and click Save

Admin Event Tags allow administrators to tag events on the administrative side (e.g., Chaperone/Advisor Required, Risk, Alcohol, etc.).
