The Waiting List Promotion Timeout feature is used when configuring the Waiting List of an event.
It represents the number of hours people have to complete their payment after they have been promoted from the waiting list to the main list.
It starts as soon as the individual has been manually promoted from the waiting list. After this time window, the person will only see a non-complete transaction and will not be able to purchase the ticket anymore.
To set the Waiting List Promotion Timeout setting, follow the steps below:
Edit/Create an event.

2. Scroll down to "7. Registration Options" and click on the "Edit" link of an existing Registration Option.
3. Set the "Waiting list promotion timeout" field to the appropriate number of hours. Click on "Save" when you are done.
