If your institution has purchased a CampusGroups Dedicated Mobile App, you will need to have a registered Google Play Developer Account. This is required for CampusGroups to create and submit your Android app to Google Play for publishing. If your institution is not already done so, please register for a Google Developer Account as an Organization.

Registering for a Google Play Developer Account

Please follow these steps to register for a Google Play Developer Organization Account: How to use Google Play Console

What You Will Need Before Registering

  • A Google Account you will be using to register

  • Developer Name, which is displayed to customers on Google Play

  • Organization Name

  • Organization Address

  • Organization Phone number, which must be verified

  • Organization Website

  • Contact Name

  • Contact Email Address, which must be verified

  • Contact Phone Number in international format

Things to Note

  • It is recommended to use an email address associated with your organization, not a personal email address. For more tips, we included contact information best practices in Google’s Help Center.

  • There is a one-time registration fee of $25.00 USD

How long does it take to set up my Google Play Developer Account?

It takes around 3 minutes to go through the registration process. Afterwards, Google Play will need to approve the account. Then, it is typically ready within 1-7 business days.

Next Steps - Granting Access

Once your institution has a Google Play Developer Organization Account, please invite CG Apps cg.apps@readyeducation.com as an admin user to your Developer Account.

Provide CG Apps cg.apps@readyeducation.com with the following access so we may create and submit your Android app for review:

  • 'Admin access' under Account permissions

After your dedicated campus mobile app is published in the Apple App Store, we ask that you limit CG App’s access to the dedicated app created, rather than All Apps in the account.

For questions regarding your Apple Developer Account and/or setting up your dedicated campus mobile app, please contact integrations@readyeducation.com.
