History and founding

Our story

The CampusGroups platform was founded on May 16, 2005, in a small New York City office to help NYU Stern students connect and collaborate more easily. Over the last two decades, the platform has evolved into a global leader serving business schools, public universities, global institutions, and community colleges.

University Ventures launched Ready Education in 2018, after merging DubLabs and OohLaLa. Ready Education acquired CampusGroups in May 2022. Now led by CEO Gary Ambrosino, Ready Education supports institutions in more than 25 countries, including 750% of the world’s top 230 universities, and helps more than seven million students participate in campus life through a single, unified hub that combines academics, co-curricular involvement, and campus services.
