Creating a Connection Program

How to create and customize a Connection Program.

Group Officers can create Connection Programs to allow Users to search for and connect to an appropriate person or resource. This feature can be used for mentoring programs, advising meetings, leadership programs, and so much more!

To create a Connection Program, Officers should follow these steps:

  • Manage your group

  • Click on More Tools

  • Click on Connection Programs

  • Click on Create Program

  • Select an Owner and provide a Program Name and Description

Connection Programs are highly customizable and Officers will have several options to select from when creating the program. To learn more, please review our article on the creation options for Connection Programs.

  • Click on Save when you are done

  • Once your Connection Program is created, click on its name to manage it

  • Click on the More Icon to access the dropdown menu where you can Edit the Connection Program and manage other settings

  • Add Hosts to the Connection Program by selecting the Add Host button

  • Find the User you would like to become a Host and add a short description

  • If you have created tags for Hosts, you can tag your new Host with these

  • If you have other Hosts in your program and you would like your new Host to have the same settings, use the "Duplicate this Host" section

  • Click on Submit when you are done

  • You can manage the availability of a Host by selecting Add Availability.

  • Participants can now book meetings with Hosts

  • To view the list of all scheduled and past meetings, click on the Meetings button

  • For each meeting, the Host will be able to take notes that are linked to a Participant and are only visible to the Host and Admins

It is possible to create Custom Questions that Participants will have to answer when booking a meeting with a Host. To learn more, please review our article on adding customs questions to a connection program's host.

Group Officers and Admins can easily download Reports on Connection Programs. To learn more, please review our article on Connection Programs' reports.

Badges can be earned by the Hosts of a Connection Program. This can be used to highlight particular training or certification of a Host. To learn more, please review our article on creating badges for the Hosts of a Connection Program.
